PRF EZ Gel
PRF EZ Gel is a type of Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) product used in regenerative medicine as a modified version of traditional PRF that comes in a gel form. It is obtained through a simple blood draw and then processed with specialized centrifugation techniques. The process creates a gel matrix that contains a high concentration of platelets, fibrin, and growth factors. This gel doubles as a natural filler option for patients with the added benefits of PRF.
Each treatment typically generates enough product for an almost complete facial rejuvenation procedure. We typically recommend that patients complete 2-3 treatments for optimal results. PRF EZ Gel really shines when used in the under eye area and other soft tissue areas of the face.
PRP & PRF FAQs
-
PRP is considered safe since it uses your own blood, which eliminates the risk of allergic reactions or disease transmission.
-
PRF differs from PRP primarily in its preparation. The PRF is not treated with anticoagulants, allowing the fibrin matrix to form naturally. This matrix supports healing and can provide more sustained release of growth factors.
PRF EZ Gel differs more in that we are able to prepare the plasma into a protein-rich gel that acts as a natural filler to volumize the areas that it is injected into with the added benefits of PRF rejuvenation.
-
Most people require 2-3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, with maintenance sessions every 6-12 months.
-
The PRP and PRF effects typically begin to appear within 3-6 weeks after treatment, as collagen stimulation takes time. Full effects can take up to 3 months.
However, since PRF EZ Gel combines the effects of PRF with a naturally-derived filler gel, patients will have immediate results in volume restoration from the gel portion.
-
Side effects are generally mild and temporary, including redness, swelling, bruising, and tenderness at the injection sites.
